Also known as “effing sample bags”, these little gems of makeup can result in mess and frustration. Believe me, if I could find a teensy product pot to put the samples in, I would. But worry not! With a deft hand, and some patience (and the right tools), you can maneuver a sample bag with ease!
(Or, if you hate this notion, you can clean out an empty eyeshadow pot and carefully transfer the product from bag to pot. Your choice.)
Either over the bag or the sink, tap your index finger on the shaft of the brush to knock off excess eyeshadow. You don’t want more fall-off than necessary, and you can always layer more shadow on as needed.
Repeat as necessary until desired look is achieved! You’ll have less mess (unless you knock the bag over), and get more use out of every flake of that sample.
